What Ingredients are in Poo Pourri?
Essential Oils, Water, Rubbing Alcohol and Vegetable Glycerine are the Ingredients
Ok, so Poo Pourri Ingredients have been blended together to create this absolutely magical stuff that makes your poop not stink at all. A couple quick sprays into the toilet bowl before you go, and the bathroom will smell like your poop is made of flowers. We admit, we were skeptical at first when we tried it, because how much better can it really be than regular air fresheners, right? It didn’t take long to convince us, though, especially after that big dinner of burritos we had that somehow didn’t end up stinking up the whole house the next day.
After we realized how magical Poo Pourri is, we wouldn’t have been surprised to find out it was made of bottled unicorn farts and rainbows. It’s not, but what it is made out of is kind of nature’s equivalent of bottled unicorn farts. We refer, of course, to essential oils, the incredibly potent oils that can be distilled from herbs and plants. Some people refer to essential oils as “nature’s medicine cabinet.” I don’t know about you but I’ve never poured medicine down the toilet to make it smell better, so I prefer to refer to them as “super-concentrated everything good about flowers.”

And some other natural ingredients to help create the oily barrier, that the company doesn’t reveal. They’re natural, though!
You can make your own DIY Poo Pourri using those essential oils listed above, and it really does end up smelling just like the original scent kind! Or you can make your own custom scent using your favorite essential oils. Or make it easy on yourself and just order it ready to go. If you do opt for the brand name, store-bought version, you can rest assured that it is just as natural and healthy as the kind you would make yourself out of essential oils. In other words, there aren’t any nasty artificial fragrances or harsh chemicals in it.
So why would you use Poo Pourri instead of a regular air freshener? Oh, let us count the reasons!
Poo Pourri Ingredients actually traps smells. Have you ever had a chili cheese dog blowout and tried to cover it up with air freshener spray? And have you ever desperately sprayed more and more air freshener until the whole room reeked of chili cheese dog poop and flowers? And have you ever noticed that no matter how much flower smell you put in the room, it still smells like poop too? Poo Pourri Ingredients actually traps the smells so that they never escape into the air. No smell cover-up, no crossing your fingers that the air freshener will be strong enough to overpower your stench. Keep your smelly business under the water where it belongs and enjoy fresh, stink-free air everywhere else.
Poo Pourri doesn’t have artificial fragrances.
There has been a big problem recently with cosmetics and air fresheners, because artificial fragrances can be hazardous to your health, or even carcinogenic. And there’s no requirement for companies to label their artificial fragrances, other than saying that they contain “artificial fragrances.” So basically the only safe thing to do is to stay away from artificial fragrances altogether – but then how will you make your house smell good? Answer: essential oils! Not only are they better for you, but we think they smell a lot better too. You don’t get any of the strong chemically smell with the Poo Pourri Ingredients and essential oils in Poo Pourri that you get with chemical fragrances – just the pure, strong scent of oranges, lemons, and bergamot.
